We have just spent a great week in this haven of peace, a magnificent residence renovated with care and taste. We remember from our stay the tranquility of the place with its animals, the welcome, the kindness, the discretion and the availability of Dave the owner. The swimming pool and the jacuzzi of course, the proximity of Aulnay, a pretty little village with its magnificent Romanesque church. We highly recommend this place!
Nous venons de passer une super semaine dans ce havre de paix, une magnifique demeure rénovée avec soin et goût. Nous retenons de notre séjour la tranquillité de l’ endroit avec ses animaux l’ accueil, la gentillesse, la discrétion et la disponibilité de Dave le propriétaire. La piscine et le jacuzzi bien sûr, la proximité d’ Aulnay, joli petit village avec sa magnifique eglise Romane. Nous recommandons vivement cet endroit!

Sept Fonts is a lovely old former Priory, full of history and interest. The location tranquil, it is near enough to the vibrant local village, and yet far enough away, to see the Milky way in all its splendour. The accommodation is full of rustic charm and has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The pool and hot tub are huge and kept very clean. Erica & Dave are lovely people and the perfect hosts. We all loved it, and want to return.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Dave et Erica. Le gîte est plein de charme, très joliment rénové. Les espaces intérieurs sont spacieux, idéal pour une grande famille ou un groupe d’amis. Tout le nécessaire (et même plus !) est sur place, nous n’avons manqué de rien, le gîte est suréquipé. Nous avons apprécié les nombreux espaces extérieurs, tous aussi charmants les uns que les autres (différents espaces repas pour varier en fonction de l’ensoleillement au moment de la journée, différents coins repos). La piscine et le jacuzzi privatifs viennent compléter les aménagements déjà très appréciables. Pour finir, les hôtes sont très agréables, sur place mais très discrets, toujours disponibles pour que notre séjour se passe pour le mieux. Un séjour coup de cœur !
We had a great stay with Dave and Erica. The cottage is full of charm, very nicely renovated. The interior spaces are spacious, ideal for a large family or a group of friends. Everything you need (and even more!) is on site, we didn't miss anything, the cottage is over-equipped. We enjoyed the many outdoor spaces, all as charming as each other (different dining areas to vary depending on the sunshine at the time of day, different rest areas). The private swimming pool and jacuzzi complete the already very appreciable facilities. Finally, the hosts are very pleasant, on site but very discreet, always available to make our stay as good as possible. A heart-stopping stay!
5 star review from Lisa Lamontre Ne vous fiez pas à l'absence de commentaires sur ce logement (0 commentaire au moment où nous avons fait la réservation) : les propriétaires viennent de mettre la maison en location (juillet 2022). Nous étions les 2èmes occupants. Et c'était super ! Pléthore de chaises longues, fauteuils, coussins, petits recoins pour buller tranquillement à l'extérieur. La piscine gigantesque à 24-26°C et le jacuzzi à 31°C sont évidemment un gros plus. Ne pas s'attendre à des allées de jardin désherbées ou une pelouse tondue de près mais est ce vraiment là l'essentiel ? La propriété (plusieurs corps de bâtiments, hangar et dépendances) est en cours de rénovation. Ce n'est pas une ferme à proprement parler mais il est à noter la présence de 2 moutons, 2 chats, 1 chien (silencieux) et une douzaine de poules sur la propriété (merci pour les œufs frais !). Magnifique rénovation à l'intérieur de la maison, literie confortable, de la place pour tout le monde, gîte très bien équipé. Nous étions bien au frais, derrière les murs épais de cet ancien prieuré du XIème siècle, malgré des températures extérieures plus qu'estivales. Merci Dave et Erica pour votre présence discrète et bienveillante. Do not be fooled by the absence of comments on this accommodation (0 comments at the time we made the reservation): the owners have just put the house up for rent (July 2022). We were the 2nd occupants. And it was great! A plethora of lounge chairs, armchairs, cushions, little nooks to laze around quietly outside. The gigantic swimming pool at 24-26°C and the jacuzzi at 31°C are obviously a big plus. Don't expect weeded garden paths or a closely mowed lawn, but is that really the point? The property (several buildings, hangar and outbuildings) is being renovated. It is not a farm strictly speaking but it is worth noting the presence of 2 sheep, 2 cats, 1 dog (silent) and a dozen hens on the property (thanks for the fresh eggs!). Magnificent renovation inside the house, comfortable bedding, room for everyone, very well equipped gite. We were very cool, behind the thick walls of this former 11th century priory, despite the more than summery outside temperatures. Thank you Dave and Erica for your discreet and caring presence. 5 star review from Runa Skonberg We had a lovely week staying at Sept Fonts! Sleeping in the same house as Louis the 13th once did is of course cool, but what we loved the most was how beautifully and authentically restored the house is. The kitchen was great for cooking and hanging out, and the bedrooms were beautifully prepared with delicate linings. We enjoyed long breakfasts, lunches and dinners on the terrace, and hanging out on the deck by the huge pool. We loved the place, it was even better than on the pictures! Erica and Dave were super friendly and helpful. They did so much for us to have a nice stay, really caring for us. We can really recommend this uniqe place, and would love to come back.
